Third-party app stores have a real malware problem — one well-known store was caught shipping a trojan dropper inside its own client. APK Store is built to be the opposite. Two checks run on every single APK before it is ever served to you:
1. Signature pinning
Every app is cryptographically signed by its developer. We publish and pin the signer, so a tampered or repacked copy can never be installed over a genuine one. You can see the signer on each app’s page.
2. Independent malware scanning
Each build is run through a multi-engine scanner before release. We only publish apps that come back with zero detections, and we show the result and scan date on every listing.
What we will never host
- Cracked, “modded”, or “premium unlocked” apps — the #1 hiding place for droppers.
- Repacked copies of other developers’ apps.
- Apps with hidden subscriptions, watermark traps, or surveillance SDKs.
